This series will have 15 pictures in it when completed. Some have been digitally altered. This is my first experience working with digitizing images. Some of the images were completely made on my computer and some were only touched up. I have very rudimentary software so I wasn't able to get a high level of detail.
All original images come from a book titled, Venice, by John Kent.
Utensils used were as follows: Hand drawn images were first drawn with a Staedtler 3H pencil. Then, over the pencil I used Micron 005 and 01 black markers, Faber-Castell colored markers, and Sharpie colored markers.

Mercer Mayer is one of the best cartoonists I've come across. I love drawing his Little Critter series. His attention to detail is outstanding. Personally, I struggled a long time until I was able to recreate little critter. I began with markers and was quickly frustrated because I made plenty of mistakes and had to start over constantly. Finally I went to pencil, then, marker over pencil. That did the trick because I could erase my mistakes.
Although Mercer makes it look easy, it's not.
The following series is from the book, No One Can Play by Mercer Mayer.
This series is presented in the order they appear in the book.
However, The drawings are numbered differently because I didn't draw them in the same order they were in the book.
Drawing utensils used: Faber-Castell H pencil and Micron 005, 01, and 02 black markers.
